Choquequirao Trek 4 Days & 3 Nights

Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Chiquiska

We leave the city of Cusco at 6 am in a private bus, 4 hours away is the village of San Pedro de Cachora, protected by the impressive mountain Apu Padreyoc, protector of the town. After lunch we walk for two hours to the viewpoint of Capuliyoc (2915 meters / 9561 feet) where we will have a magnificent view of the Apurimac Canyon and the Vilcabamba mountain range. Walking time5 Hours and a half.

Day 2: Chiquiska – Choquekiraw

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will descend for 1 h to the Apurímac river (1550 masl) from this place we will begin to ascend on the opposite side of the mountain, for 4 hours, we will pass by Santa Rosa then we continue to Marampata place where we will have lunch . From this place in the distance we can already appreciate the beauty of the mystic Choquekiraw. Day 3: Choquekiraw - Chiquiska

We have the opportunity to explore the archaeological site more in the morning and have a short break. In the afternoon we return along the edge of the Apurimac canyon and descend to our tropical camp:
hike, 5 hours.
Accommodation: camp Chiquiska 1950msnm.


Day 4: Chiquiska – Cachora – Cusco

Early in the morning we start an arduous ascent for 3 hours until we reach the viewpoint of Capuliyoc. We make the ascent very early because during the day it is very hot in the canyon, thing that so at dawn we take advantage of the freshness of the canyon and in reciprocity we enjoy the incredible sunrise in the canyon of Apurimac.
After the viewpoint we follow an easy and flat road for 2 hours until we reach the village of San Pedro de Cachora, where we will have the farewell lunch with the whole group. In our private bus we will return to the imperial city of Cusco, Arriving at about 7 at night.
